Argo Surety Hires two New Underwriters for New Jersey Office

Dear Agents,

This is to inform and announce two new additions to our growing underwriting teams in Edison, New Jersey.

Recently joining Argo Surety are Tara Quigley, assistant vice president - commercial surety and Michael Sheelen, senior underwriter – contract surety. These two professionals are important hires for our growing operation and will be valuable contributors to our plan of becoming a premier underwriter of standard and specialty surety bonds.

Tara comes to Argo Surety from the Travelers Bond and Financial Products where she spent the past eight years servicing surety accounts out of the Metro New York area, most recently as Managing Director of Commercial Surety. Tara brings more than thirteen years of surety industry experience to our team and will be supporting Mark Farina, vice president – commercial surety, in Argo Surety’s Eastern Region. She and Mark worked closely together at Travelers and look forward to offering their producers the same level of surety expertise and service they have come to expect of them.

Mike joined our team on April 1 and is reporting to Craig Woehr, vice president – contract surety. Mike will be responsible for assisting Craig by servicing and growing Argo Surety’s contract business. He most recently worked for the Bond Division of The Hartford, servicing accounts from their Metro New York office. Mike has more than nine years of surety underwriting experience, having started his career at The Chubb Group of Companies in 2000.
